1. What packages and pricing options are available for nursery and school photos?
Can you provide detailed information on the different packages, including options for individual portraits, group photos, and any additional services?
All of our prices and packages are available to see on our website, we are one of the lowest priced and best value nursery and school photography companies out there.
2. How do you ensure that my child will feel comfortable and happy during the photo session?
What techniques or strategies do you use to engage young children and capture their best expressions?
We have built up experience over 20 years of how to make children feel comfortable, we concentrate on making the experience fun and relaxed and ensure that everyone enjoys the day.
3. What should my child wear for the photo session?
Do you have any recommendations for outfits or colours that work best for nursery photos?
For schools we would advise that the children are dressed in their school uniform which should be as clean and tidy as possible.
For nurseries we suggest a change of outfit for the children which they take with them on the photography day, this can be their favourite outfit or something new that you would like to dress your child in. Generally we find that strong bright colours work the best.
4. Can I choose the background or setting for my child’s photos?
Are there options for different backgrounds or themes, and can parents have a say in which ones are used?
No. We use the same backgrounds for every child to ensure a quick and efficient service, if you have specific props, toys or personal items that you would like included in the photographs then these can be accommodated.
5. How will the photos be delivered, and what is the turnaround time?
When can we expect to receive the final photos, and how will they be distributed (e.g., digital copies, prints)?
It will take approximately 7 days for the images to be up on our Gotphoto online portal. We will notify the school/nursery when they are online so they can then notify you, once online you will have 2 weeks to purchase your images at a discounted rate. At the end of the 2 weeks the images that have been chosen will be processed, ordered and sent to the nursery to be distributed to you.
You can purchase images online as digital copies or prints or a combination of both. There are several discounted packages available. If you order within the 2 week time period then the images will be sent to the school/nursery and there will be no charge for postage. After this date you can order additional prints and digital copies for a period of 6 months, these will then be sent to your home address (if printed) and you will be charged postage.
6. Are there options for retouching or editing the photos?
Can you make adjustments to the photos, such as removing blemishes or improving lighting? Are these services included or available for an additional fee?
Yes. We do this as part of the editing process before the images are put online. There is no extra charge for this service.
7. What if my child is absent on photo day?
Do you offer retake sessions for children who are unable to attend the original photo day?
Unfortunately, we are only able to operate on the scheduled day so any absent child will miss out.
8. How do you handle confidentiality and privacy regarding my child’s photos?
What measures do you take to ensure that my child’s photos and personal information are kept secure and private?
The images are taken at the nursery and are sent to Instant Images and edited and processed. Only Instant Images staff have access to the images. Once the images are ready to be viewed they are uploaded to our secure GotPhoto site.

9. What is your policy on refunds or reprints if I’m not satisfied with the photos?
We do not offer a refund as images are a personal service and have no resale value. You have the opportunity to view copies of your images online so please make sure that you are happy with how they look when you order them.
If the print quality is not as expected then please contact instant images so we can review the issues and discuss with our printer.
Please also be aware that our monitors are calibrated with the printers at the lab we use, therefore if you purchase digital copies and get them printed by an alternative company then there may be slight differences in the colours.
10. Do you offer any props or accessories for the photo sessions?
Are there any props, costumes, or accessories that children can use during their photo sessions to make the experience more fun?
For graduations we provide gowns and hats.
We also provide basic props teddy’s flowers etc for nursery age children.
11. How do you ensure a smooth and efficient photo day at the nursery?
What steps do you take to organize and manage the photo sessions to minimize disruption to the nursery/school routine?
We will book a day that is suitable for the school/nursery giving them months to prepare in advance. We will provide all the information that they need to ensure that the day runs smoothly. We generally photograph a class at a time to ensure that there is as little disruption as possible, but we will discuss with them the best way to operate for the school/nursery.
12. Can siblings be photographed together, and is there an additional cost for this?
Are there options for sibling photos, and how is this arranged? Is there an extra fee for including siblings?
Yes – this is arranged directly with the school/nursery at the time of booking. Please ask them if they have pre-arranged this free service. If they haven’t please ask them to contact Instant Images to discuss this requirement.
13. What if my child is not in a good mood on photo day?
How do you handle situations where a child is feeling upset, uncooperative, or shy during the photo session?
We have built up experience over 20 years of how to make children feel comfortable, we concentrate on making the experience fun and relaxed and ensure that everyone enjoys the day. We will try everything that we can to work with the school/nursery staff to try to capture images of your child. We have a high success rate and will do whatever we can, however if the child is really uncomfortable then we would not force them to do it and unfortunately they would miss out.
14. Are there any special promotions or discounts for parents?
Do you offer any deals or discounts for parents, such as early bird pricing or package deals?
There is an offer for all parents for free postage if they order in the first 2 weeks. There are various packages and offers available which are all detailed online.
15. How long have you been working as a nursery photographer?
Can you share some information about your experience and background in nursery photography?
We have been photographing nurseries for over 20 years. All of our photographers have extensive experience within the industry and are trained to a high standard of photography. The owners of the company are both photographers and are out taking photographs every week so are fully immersed in the challenges of taking children’s photographs.
16. Do you provide online galleries for parents to view and select photos?
Is there an online platform where parents can securely view, select, and order photos?
Yes. This will be available to you through the unique QR code that is given to you on the day of photography. The QR code will be given to you by your child or by the nursery.
17. Do you offer any additional services, such as photo books or calendars?
Are there options to purchase photo books, calendars, or other personalized products featuring the nursery photos?
We currently do not do any additional services, however if you purchase the digital copies of your images you are able to use them in any way that you would like to, you can then create any products that you would like to.
